New Library Seating
Let’s make studying more comfortable!
Boise State Students need new seating in the library. Students come in all different shapes and sizes, and the Library’s old, one-size fits all furniture doesn’t fit all! Students need a variety of seating for different types of studying that’s comfortable enough for long study sessions. They want soft seating that can be arranged in groups for discussions and small ottomon like stools that can be dragged in place wherever and whenever another seat is needed. And, students want us to replace our old study carrels with new study pods.
These study pods, called Brody chairs, are enclosed seats with their own lighting and plenty of space for all the stuff students want around them when they study. The pods offer students a peaceful, private space to do their work in comfortable isolation, free of distractions. Currently, the library’s 8 pods are constantly 100% occupied and students are clamoring for more!
As the only library on Boise State’s campus, Albertsons Library must utilize innovative technologies and creativity to provide students with the best possible study space. Through your support, we will be able to provide comfortable seating and study pods throughout the library, so students have a variety of choices that fit their preferred study style and the work they need to get done, and create the environment they need for success.
Help us provide Boise State students with the study spaces they need!
