Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity
Our lives are more electronically connected than ever. That makes things easier: paying for gas, the electric grid, voting systems. Networking also poses a challenge when it comes to security, and it can seem like every day there’s news of stolen data and hacked systems, and fresh reasons to worry about keeping our personal information safe.
That’s why we founded the Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity here at Boise State University. We started by making connections on- and off-campus, building partnerships across colleges and departments here at Boise State, making our programs available to anyone online — with a special emphasis on students and partners in underserved communities — and coordinating our efforts with important local and regional governments and organizations. Our academic tracks range from cybersecurity certificates for students and professionals to Ph.D. programs. We hold competitions, workshops, camps, and special events, and conduct outreach to touch as many lives as possible.
We’re doing it to make you safe, and we could use your help. Gifts to the Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity are rolling in, but every dollar helps when it comes to expanding our reach, buying new technology, helping students participate in internships, strengthening our programs, and keeping what we do as accessible as possible.
