Let's make businesses and prototypes: better and faster. Boise State students are demanding a laser cutter to turn their ideas into reality. The MakerLab is open to all students on campus, and they can use it for any idea they have. By adding a laser cutter to the suite of available tools, we will be saving students money, and time, to create new objects that solve problems in the local community. A laser cutter cuts through materials quickly, accurately, and easily. Funding this idea will allow students to start their own business, patent their ideas, and make models that help people around them. Creating architectural models, lamps, replicas of artifacts, etched glass, wooden puzzles, earrings, shoes, or circuits will allow students to experience the design process from start to finish quickly.
